How Target Audience Positioning (TAP) helps artists and labels succeed.
TAP connects you directly to music lovers who want to hear your music or the music of your artists. It's a direct pipeline to the people you need to reach. The music lovers who will buy your music, share your music, spread the word about your music and build awareness and sales of back catalog songs.
TAP is up and running.
Emergent Music, the company and the brains behind FlyFi, is accepting tracks from artists and labels by invitation for FlyFil's launch period. These tracks will be recommended directly, prominently and free to charge to individual users who have musical tastes that match yours or those of your artist. Also, tracks will be separately listed by genre in our free music bin for all users to browse and discover.
FlyFi users can play the track, add it to their collection and email it to a friend. When users want to find out more about a track, FlyFi will direct them to the Internet reseller of your choice (provided there isan affiliate sales agreement in place with them.) The more a FlyFi user plays the track you have provided, the more that track will begin showing up in other users' libraries and recommendation lists throughout the FlyFi network. It's a snowball effect that benefits you.
How do we know what our users like?
FlyFi offers a free, easy-to-download application called the iTunes Helper. Drawing from more than 12 million tracks in our users' collections, the FlyFi iTunes Helper analyzes a user's iTunes library and listening habits, and then connects them with others of similar taste. The taste profile from a user's iTunes library is also used by FlyFi to generate personalized recommendations for users that allow us access to their iTunes library.
Ready to get started?
Just return a signed FlyFi TAP Agreement covering a track or group of tracks, and provide us with the answers to a few simple questions when you submit the track so we can get your music in front of the right audience to appreciate it. Then, your track enters the FlyFi TAP program and will find a home with all the FlyFi users who love your style of music.
To enroll in the TAP Program, Follow these steps:
1. Create a FlyFi Broadcaster account at http://www.flyfi.com/auth/signup/broadcaster/
2. Once FlyFi has activated your account, you will be sent instructions on how to get your music and content into the FlyFi TAP system.
What happens next?
We'll keep you updated regularly about our audience growth and profile, the progress of your track(s), and new programs for artists and labels. Emergent Music will also provide you with a weekly log of activity around your free track. You can ask us to pull your free track from the free music bin any time after 60 days. Emergent Music wants you to succeed. We are investing heavily in the development and promotion of FlyFi. And the more music we can offer our users, the greater the opportunity for all of us.
